Cider Hill Farm

Even though today's forecast called for rain, I decided to see if I could squeeze a quick painting in before the sky opened up.  I am so glad I did - the sun broke out and stayed with me and my plein air painting group at Cider Hill Farm!  I did a 12" x 9" pastel painting of a beautiful tree and house on top of a hill...I planned to paint some chickens in the foreground but they were very uncooperative - maybe next time!

This is absolutely breathtaking Robin! The composition and color is fantastic. I'm speechless...I think this is one of my all time favorites!

Thanks, Jeff. This is one of those rare ones that almost paints itself...aside from the chickens not posing it all went smoothly!
